Abstract
he focus of the paper is the development of a conceptual framework that links
concepts of durability, the limits of natural capital and opportunities for human ingenuity. This
exploration is drawn from research currently being undertaken as part of an EPSRC funded
project, Design Dialogues whose aim is to explore how interventions in design thinking can
attain greater resource productivity.
