“Mais Dados, Melhor Saúde!” - CEGIST presents project to support national framework for secondary health data access
The Instituto Superior Técnico, through the CEGIST – Centre for Management Studies, will present the project “More Data, Better Health!” on 12 December. The initiative aims to contribute to the development of a national model for secure and efficient secondary access to health data in Portugal.
Coordinated by Eduardo Costa at CEGIST, the project is carried out with the technical collaboration of IQVIA and funded by Roche.
Over the coming months, the project will develop a set of recommendations to inform the national discussion on secondary health data access.
The project seeks to strengthen Portugal’s capacity to make informed, evidence-based decisions in the health sector, promoting research, innovation, and improved public service delivery. The event on 12 December marks the start of the public discussion process, with final conclusions expected in the first quarter of 2026.
IST and CEGIST invite the academic community, public entities, healthcare professionals, and all interested stakeholders to participate in this session and contribute to the national debate on health data governance.
The public session will take place at Culturgest, Lisbon, from 09:30 to 13:00, on 12 December.
