As the Editor in Chief of the prestigious Decision Sciences Journal (DSJ), Prof. Talluri will provide invaluable guidance on publishing in top-tier journals. This talk will cover DSJ's editorial policies, including the latest changes aimed at enhancing the journal's impact and relevance. Prof. Talluri will share his perspective on what constitutes a great research paper, offering tips and insights for aspiring authors. Additionally, the session will address common issues encountered during the publication journey, providing practical advice on how to navigate them successfully. Finally, Prof. Talluri will highlight emerging areas of research where DSJ is actively seeking submissions. Speaker's bio

Srinivas Talluri earned the B. S. degree in mechanical engineering in India in 1989, the M. S. degree in industrial and manufacturing systems engineering and the Ph. D. degree in production and operations management from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1992 and 1996, respectively. He is the Hoagland-Metzler Endowed Professor and Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management at Michigan State University. His research interests are in the areas of supply risk, buyer-supplier relationships and supply contracts, sustainability in supply chains, technology management, and performance evaluation. Sri's methodological expertise lies in the areas of optimization methods (deterministic and stochastic models), game theory, empirical methods (statistical models), and data envelopment analysis. He has more than 100 journal publications in a variety of top-tier academic journals including the IIE Transactions, Decision Sciences, Production and Operations Management Journal, Journal of Operations Management, International Journal of Production Research, European Journal of Operational Research, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, and has presented papers in various national and international conferences. He currently serves as the Co-Editor in Chief of the Decision Sciences Journal.
