The eigth edition of the PhD Open Days took place between 14th and 16th November 2022. It was a major opportunity for more than one thousand PhD students to socialize and share their research with the rest of the academic community, companies, and alumni. The event started with the official Welcome Reception Ceremony for the new enrolled PhD students. Besides a permanent poster exhibition with the most recent research developments made by PhD students, there was room for “PhD Workshops”, where PhD students can attend selected workshops for soft skills topics and several plenary talks in cutting-edge research fields. There was also opportunity for “face-to-face” in round tables with companies interested in hiring PhDs from IST. Besides the pitch competition, considered one of the highlights, this time the “Out of the box” session brought inspirational personal testimonies boosting your future careers.
CEGIST member Duarte Dinis participated in one of the Alumni Sessions and CEGIST PhD Students Ana Sofia Torrado, Mariana Oliveira and Mariana Cunha participated with Posters presenting their research work.
