.

I am a PhD student in Engineering and Public Policy at Instituto Superior Técnico, with a background in Industrial Engineering and Management. My academic work is grounded in quantitative methods, economics and data analysis, with a particular interest in understanding how technological and organisational changes shape economic outcomes. My research interests focus on the intersection of economics, labour markets and technological transformation, building on my master’s thesis in econometrics, where I analysed the impact of automation exposure on employment in Portugal. I am particularly interested in applying empirical methods to study complex socio-economic systems to inform political and strategic decision-making. Alongside my academic work, I have worked in strategy consulting, where I have worked on projects across various sectors, including energy, healthcare, and government. This experience has strengthened my ability to approach research questions with a practical perspective and a focus on real-world applicability. More broadly, I am motivated by curiosity and a strong interest in exploring how different fields connect, particularly across economics, policy and human behaviour.
