Holly Bea Merelie is a PhD candidate in Engineering and Management at Instituto Superior Técnico and a Research Fellow in the SUPPORT-HH project. She holds a BSc in Nursing from the University of Évora and an MSc in Healthcare Services Management from the University of Algarve. She has over seven years of clinical experience as a registered nurse in Portugal and the United Kingdom, in a variety of clinical settings. Her clinical background informed her transition into research focused on improving healthcare systems and addressing organisational challenges. Her research interests lie in the application of Operations Research and Management Science to healthcare, particularly in the context of Hospital at Home services. Her work focuses on demand forecasting under uncertainty and the development of optimisation models to support strategic decision-making in healthcare systems.
