Edgar Mascarenhas is a researcher at the Centre for Management Studies at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) and a PhD candidate in Engineering and Management at IST. He holds a BSc and MSc in Biomedical Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2009-2014). Before starting his PhD, Edgar worked for three years as a business intelligence analyst and developer on health-related projects at two IT consultancy companies. Currently, he is working on his thesis titled "Facilitated Decision Modelling and Decision Conferencing: From Novel Concepts to Applications in Health Settings," under the supervision of Professor Mónica Duarte Oliveira (IST) and Professor Ricardo Fernandes (FMUL). His research interests include group decision processes, behavioral operational research, and multicriteria decision analysis.
