Maria Lopes is a researcher at the Center for Management Studies at Instituto Superior Técnico (CEGIST), and part of the Operations and Logistics group. She is attending a PhD in Engineering and Management at the University of Lisbon, Instituto Superior Técnico since February 2021. She completed his Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management in 2020 by the University of Lisbon, Instituto Superior Técnico and Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management in 2017 by the same institution, years during which he accumulated professional and volunteer activities. She developed her Master's thesis in Optimization applied to the Scheduling of Nurses using Linear Programming. Has worked as an Analyst in Operations and Management at Lean Health Portugal, in several hospitals in the Portugal in continuous improvement projects, for 15 months.
