Mariana B. Santos is a Pre-Award Officer @ CEGIST. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Genetics and Biotechnology from UTAD, her master’s degree in Molecular Genetics and Biomedicine from Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia – New University of Lisbon and her PhD in Bioengineering from Instituto Superior Técnico in 2022. Mariana's professional journey seamlessly blends basic and clinical environments. She served as a liaison between doctors and researchers, actively contributing to clinical studies. In recent years, Mariana has delved into the fascinating domain of brain regeneration post-injury. More recently, Mariana has been working as a clinical and molecular data analyst. Nowadays, she has transitioned to research management, more specifically to the Pre-award realm.
