Concerned about the sustainability aspect of the industrial system, my research is focused on the valorisation of waste and the development of tools to help companies decide on the implementation of circular business models and zero waste approaches. My new research lines are directed towards developing decision support systems for the implementation of symbiotic supply chains, whiel considering strategic and tactical planning approaches.
Attending PhD Program in Engineering and Management Instituto Superior Técnico – Universidade de Lisboa, researching on collaborative supply chain strategic planning and design optimisation for the circular economy. I am applying OR methods such as mathematical modelling and game theory, and combining them with Life cycle assessment to gather insights on the symbiotic supply chains’ technical feasibility and sustainability implications, with supervision by Professors Ana Paula Barbosa Póvoa and Bruna Mota.
