CEGIST members recently participated in several outreach activities. Daniel Santos and MSc Margarida Abreu joined the Técnico Taguspark Open Day and 23rd anniversary with two activities: “Build a Tangram” and “To cut or not to cut, that is the question”, involving several young people in an event that attracted hundreds of school students and teachers from the greater Lisbon area and involved a wide range of hands-on activities and laboratory visits.
CEGIST PhD student João Almeida guided students tackling the cutting-stock challenge “To cut or not to cut, that is the question” at the annual Mathematics Fair.
