Dina Batista Pereira, PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management, is Researcher at CEG-IST - Centre for Management Studies /IST-University of Lisbon (since 2013) in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship. Dina Pereira is a passionate entrepreneur who believes in a better world and our capacity to build it together. In her career she has supported the creation of more than 50 startups, inspiring other innovators to validate their impactful ventures and change our world for the better. This is why Dina runs a life sciences incubator (UBImedical), where many startups and entrepreneurs are jointly creating tools, drugs, devices, platforms targeted at improving the quality of life of human beings. At UBImedical incubator, with a vision to change the way researchers think, act, and operate their innovations, Dina, works with leaders and organizations in the entrepreneurial ecosystem to help transfer innovative medicines, devices, and solutions, and create a better and sustainable world.
At NeuroSoV, the startup in which Dina is CEO and Co-Founder, she and her partners strive to reach innovative therapies targeted at slowing down the progression of Parkinson Disease (the same that her mom is fighting with), among other therapies for neurodegenerative diseases and dementias.
