About
The Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Innovation (SEI) branch of CEGIST conducts applied research in topics related with entrepreneurship and innovation, corporate strategy, competition, energy and the environment, and their relationship with industry dynamics, labour markets, and economic development.
Our research programs use applied econometrics as well as game theory and experiments to examine the impacts of technological change and innovation, human capital, and public policies on issues such as entrepreneurial success, internationalisation and globalisation, productivity and wages, industry evolution, regional development, and the environment. We aim to offer new insights into the roles played by technology, knowledge and human resources in the development of innovative firms and competitive regions, contributing to the formulation and assessment of policies in industry, energy and the environment, health, science, and higher education.
