Valentina Bonomi

Valentina Bonomi is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the CEGIST group at the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) – University of Lisbon. She obtained her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Management Engineering from the University of Brescia (Italy) and her PhD in Information Engineering from the same institution. Valentina’s research focuses on the optimization of Rich Vehicle Routing Problems, with applications in healthcare logistics and sustainable last-mile delivery systems. She has authored several research articles in international journals and presented her work at leading academic conferences. Valentina has extensive international research experience, including collaborations with CEGIST and CIRRELT (Université Laval, Canada). These experiences have enriched her work on advanced logistics and optimization problems. Since 2020, she has also served as a teaching assistant for courses in Operations Research. Her current research involves developing innovative models and algorithms for sustainable logistics systems, including collaboration with industry partners such as Correios de Portugal (CTT).
