Dina Batista Pereira, PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management, is Researcher at CEG-IST - Centre for Management Studies /IST-University of Lisbon (since 2013) in the fields of innovation, entrepreneurship and technology transfer. Dina teaches at Polytechnic University of Castelo Branco and is the Executive Director of UBIMEDICAL at University of Beira Interior (UBI), incubator for health and life sectors. Among other duties, she is responsible for the creation and scale up of new startups coming from UBI, as well as the organization and management of international projects with other stakeholders from incubators, universities, companies, and for attracting and managing the clinical studies at the Coordination Centre for Clinical Trials of UBImedical. She is co-founder and CEO of 'NeuroSoV', startup dedicated at developing new drug candidates for Parkinson Disease and other dementias. Dina is member of the I3 European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA).
