Yannik Nikolas Zeiträg
PhD Student
Centro de Estudos de Gestão do Instituto Superior Técnico
Yannik Zeiträg is a researcher at Centre for Management Studies of Instituto Superior Técnico (CEGIST) with a background in Operations Research and Management Science. He completed his MSc in Engineering and Management at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in 2018 with the focus of production management and logistics. Notably, his master's thesis involved the development of a risk assessment tool for energy-flexible production systems, which led to the publication of a conference paper.
In 2020, he embarked on his PhD journey, focusing on Multi-Objective Production Planing and Scheduling under the guidance of Professors José Rui Figueira at IST. He is an active member of MOSAIC research group working towards enhancing operations management, productivity, and resource efficiency. His contributions have already resulted in three published research papers and several presentations at national and international conferences. Additionally, he has had the privilege of mentoring a master's student in their research endeavors.
His primary research interests lie in Operations Research and Management Science, particularly in the development of innovative optimization methods to efficiently solve complex scheduling and lot-sizing problems, making use of evolutionary computation, machine learning, and simulation.
