Valorpneu Logistics Network

This project aims to analyse the logistics network for used tyre collection, assessing its geographical coverage and responsiveness (demand versus supply), and to develop an optimisation tool to support its automated re-planning, enabling the identification of optimal service levels by municipality across mainland Portugal. The tool will determine the optimal location (municipality) and required capacity for new facilities to meet used tyre collection needs in underserved areas, and will support the simulation of facility openings and closures, enabling the evaluation of their impact on the service level of the collection network.
