Duarte Dinis is Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering and Management at NOVA School of Science and Technology (NOVA SST). At NOVA SST he is Head of the Reliability Engineering and Maintenance Management courses. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Design and Advanced Manufacturing with work performed in the development and application of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms to Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) industries. He holds a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in aviation maintenance. He has worked as Project Manager in the naval sector and as Maintenance Planner in aviation. His research interests include the application of methods within uncertainty modeling, risk, and multi-criteria decision analysis to solve real industrial problems.
